Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or a related perinatal specialty
- BLS certification (AHA)
- NRP certification
- ACLS certification (AHA)
- Current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- BSN preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic clinical environment
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient progress throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and families on care plans, learning needs, and available resources
- Collaborate with the care team to support high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced perinatal setting
