Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Saint Petersburg, FL

Experienced OR RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Join a busy surgical services team and provide high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced operating room with strong case variety, 7 suites, and a collaborative, patient-centered culture.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Variable call schedule; every other weekend and holidays in rotation
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) with 7 suites
• Location: Saint Petersburg, FL 33710 – a welcoming Gulf Coast city known for sunshine, waterfront living, and a vibrant healthcare community

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Perioperative nursing experience required in GYN, Urology, General Surgery, Robotics, and Orthopedics
• Ability to take call and work a variable schedule in a surgical environment
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and a calm presence in a busy OR setting
• Familiarity with Meditech is helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing support in the operating room for a wide range of surgical cases
• Assist with robotic procedures in GYN, Urology, and General Surgery
• Support procedures such as cysto, breast, knee scopes, and total joint surgeries
• Maintain safe, efficient, and patient-focused perioperative care
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, CSTs, aides, and leadership to ensure smooth case flow
• Adapt to changing priorities while helping the surgical team deliver high-quality care
