- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

- Local Radius: 75 miles
- Setting: Busy emergency department serving adult, pediatric, geriatric, and behavioral health patients
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
- Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required
- Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Strong communication, critical thinking, triage, and prioritization skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and reassessments in a fast-paced emergency department
- Support care for a wide range of conditions including trauma, stroke, cardiac, pediatric, and behavioral health cases
- Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Assist with IV starts, line management, blood product administration, and procedural support as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, phlebotomy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit protocols
- Promote a safe, calm, and compassionate experience for patients and families
