• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend Coverage: Some weekends required; 3-4 weekend days per month
• Float Requirement: May float to other units within the organization as needed
• Unit Setting: Mixed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with transitional beds

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry, medical-surgical, or similar acute care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• IV certification required
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a travel nursing assignment with required floating and weekend coverage
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or other formal leader

Responsibilities

• Start and maintain IV access and provide safe medication administration
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, telemetry strips, and patient responses to treatment
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Interpret dysrhythmias and support rapid response or code situations as needed
• Manage common med-surg procedures and therapies such as IV antibiotics, PICC line care, Foley care, chest tubes, and bedside procedures
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and self-care
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality outcomes
• Float to lower acuity units when assigned and maintain flexibility based on unit needs
• Follow hospital policies, infection prevention practices, and patient safety standards at all times
