Travel to Alexandria, Virginia, for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse assignment in a fast-paced acute care setting. - Schedule: Every other weekend with rotating holidays
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830-$1,930
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting
- BLS and ACLS required
- NIHSS preferred and required upon hire during orientation
- Epic experience required
- Strong ability to care for diverse adult patient populations
- Comfortable adapting to multiple clinical environments and changing patient needs
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Support a broad patient population, including neurology, stroke, orthopedics/trauma, elective joint and spine procedures, skeletal traction, and external fixation
- Float to assigned units as needed, including adult Med/Surg/Telemetry, ED Holding, and IMC areas caring for Med/Surg-Tele level patients
- Call before each shift for unit assignment, report directly to the assigned unit, and participate in safety huddles and standard workflows
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with the care team to deliver effective bedside care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards throughout the shift
- Adapt quickly to occasional mid-shift reassignment based on operational needs
