Labor & Delivery RN Requirements

Active Massachusetts RN license
Current BLS certification
Current NRP certification
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery or postpartum nursing experience
Epic EMR experience required
Postpartum nursing experience required
Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
Collaborate with providers and the clinical care team to support high-quality patient outcomes
Document nursing care accurately in the electronic medical record using Epic
Maintain a calm, professional approach in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
Contribute to a positive patient experience through skilled, patient-centered nursing care
