Experienced Labor & Delivery RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in San Antonio, Texas. This assignment is located in the welcoming San Antonio 78212 area, known for its rich culture, lively neighborhoods, and easy access to the city’s distinctive local charm. Job Details
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse
- Location: San Antonio, TX 78212
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
- Facility Type: Hospital-based women’s pavilion / Labor & Delivery unit
- Floating: As needed
Job Requirements
- Active Texas RN license required; temporary license is not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Intermediate and advanced fetal monitoring experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Strong clinical skills in women’s health, maternity care, and fetal monitoring
- Ability to adapt to floating expectations as needed
- Meditech experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Support vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Monitor fetal tracings and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians, OR staff, and the broader clinical team
- Document accurately in Meditech/CPN systems
- Assist with patient flow across triage, antepartum, and labor rooms
- Follow unit policies, safety standards, and professional dress code expectations
