• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Unit Setting: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Schedule Notes: Weekend rotation required; floating may be expected based on unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience or acute care RN experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to perform basic patient assessments and provide general medical-surgical nursing care
• Experience with wound care, tracheostomy care, ostomy care, drains, and chest tubes
• Comfort caring for patients with strokes, seizures, dialysis needs, and PCA pumps
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a patient-centered healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Complete bedside shift report, safety checks, and ongoing patient assessments
• Manage post-operative patients, including amputations, ostomies, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Support patients requiring Heparin drips and other routine Med/Surg interventions
• Maintain strong infection prevention practices, including CVC and Foley monitoring
• Follow fall prevention protocols and medication scanning procedures for all medications, including controlled substances
• Collaborate with nurses, techs, and leadership to promote positive patient outcomes
• Float within scope as needed while maintaining high standards of care
