• Schedule: Typically 3 shifts per week, with day and night coverage needs noted for the unit
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Orientation: General orientation, EPIC training, and departmental orientation of 1-2 shifts
• Charting System: EPIC
• Medication System: PYXIS
• Unit Size: 20-bed medical-surgical unit
• Patient Ratio: 5:1
• Floating: May be required to other Medical Surgical units when needed

Job Requirements

• Current Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice
• Comfort working in an acute care hospital environment with a collaborative care team
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and maintain excellent patient care standards
• Willingness to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and direct patient care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes in status, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Administer medications and support treatment plans using PYXIS and EPIC
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient care environment
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers as appropriate
• Deliver high-quality nursing care while maintaining professionalism, accountability, and teamwork
