- Position: CVOR RN / Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Setting: Acute care cardiovascular intensive care
- Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 46845
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Charting System: EPIC
- Orientation: 3 mandatory days during week 1
- Floating: May float to like units and progressive care as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiovascular ICU nursing experience
- Current Indiana RN license or compact RN license
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Active ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Open-heart recovery experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Level I or Level II facility experience preferred
- Ability to float to stepdown, PCU, or other like units when needed
- Comfort working in a mixed-acuity cardiovascular and critical care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled care for cardiovascular ICU patients immediately following surgery and throughout recovery
- Monitor and manage patients with varying acuity levels in both ICU and progressive care settings
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a unit with close nurse-to-patient ratios
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient recovery and discharge readiness
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC
- Support patient throughput by assisting with stepdown and like-unit floating as assigned
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced cardiac care environment
