• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Setting: Medical-Surgical / Short Stay Unit
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Kerrville, TX
• Weekend Coverage: Required, with 12 weekend shifts during the contract
• Holiday Commitment: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays and 3 of 5 winter holidays
• Floating: Required to 2W, CDU, and ARU

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Medical-Surgical unit
• Monitor and respond to patients with respiratory, cardiac, GI, urinary, endocrine, and neurological conditions
• Care for patients experiencing chest pain, syncope, seizures, electrolyte imbalances, and substance withdrawal
• Support telemetry monitoring, rhythm recognition, and timely escalation of patient changes
• Administer medications and therapies, including IVs, insulin, heparin, oxygen, and blood products as indicated
• Assist with wound care, post-procedure recovery, and common Med/Surg nursing interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
• Float to affiliated units as needed while maintaining excellent patient safety, communication, and teamwork
