Travel to Upper Marlboro, Maryland for a high-acuity Operating Room Registered Nurse job in a Level II Trauma Center. Bring your perioperative nursing experience, strong DaVinci robotics background, and ability to scrub and circulate in a fast-paced surgical environment.

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5x8 evening shifts, 14:45-23:15
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,270-$2,400
• Call Requirement: 5-6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Weekend Coverage: Required, rotational
• Floating: May be required within specialty and to a nearby sister campus as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 24-36 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required; 3 years preferred
• Strong general OR and DaVinci robotics experience required
• Ability to both scrub and circulate is strongly preferred
• First-time travelers may be considered with strong OR experience
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Epic experience required
• Experience in a community hospital setting required
• Comfort working with adults and geriatrics; adolescents may also be encountered

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care in a busy hospital Operating Room
• Circulate and/or scrub for surgical cases including trauma, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, gyn, ENT, plastics, podiatry, and robotic procedures
• Support complex surgical procedures with a strong focus on patient safety, sterile technique, and teamwork
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate closely with the surgical team
• Assist with pre-op, intra-op, and post-op workflows as needed
• Respond confidently to urgent and emergent OR cases in a high-acuity environment
• Float within scope and participate in call coverage as scheduled
• Uphold infection control, Universal Protocol, and OR best practices at all times
