• Floating: May float to like units within scope
• Call: No call required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact license eligibility prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS and NIHSS required; pending certifications may be accepted at submission
• CPI preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfort working in a 1:6 patient ratio environment
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend coverage
• Open to floating to like units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Neuro patients
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary support teams
• Support rapid response activation and escalation of care when needed
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Manage common Med/Surg nursing skills including IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, and central line care
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, communication, and teamwork
• Adapt to floating assignments within similar patient care areas when required
