Travel Nurse Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Location: Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20774
• Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, mids schedule (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Schedule Notes: Holidays, weekends, and on-call coverage are required as scheduled
• Call Requirement: 5-6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Floating: May be required within the specialty and to a sister campus as needed

OR RN Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience preferred; 2 years may be considered with strong perioperative experience
• Strong general OR experience with the ability to scrub and circulate
• Da Vinci robotics experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• CNOR and NIHSS highly valued
• First-time travelers may be considered with strong OR and robotics experience
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric surgical patients
• Ability to float within scope and support department needs

Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced operating room setting
• Scrub and circulate a broad range of surgical cases, including trauma, ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, thoracic, vascular, bariatric, gynecology, urology, and robotics
• Support advanced procedures and minimally invasive surgeries, including Da Vinci robotic cases
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team
• Assist with trauma and emergency cases as needed
• Participate in on-call coverage, weekend rotation, and holiday staffing as scheduled
• Float within the specialty area and to other campus locations when required
• Follow facility protocols, infection prevention standards, and universal safety practices
