Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Unit Type: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Floating: May float as needed based on census and facility needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or a similar acute care setting
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort caring for patients with varying levels of acuity
• First-time travel nurses are welcome
• Flexibility to float when needed and work scheduled holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias as part of routine patient care
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, diabetes, renal failure, surgical needs, and observation-level diagnoses
• Support patients receiving palliative, hospice, psychiatric observation, and post-surgical care
• Administer treatments, medications, and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
• Manage IVs, peripheral lines, telemetry monitoring, wound care, feeding tubes, drains, and other common Med/Surg nursing skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Deliver safe, compassionate care while supporting a positive patient experience
