• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Nursery RN
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Level 2B Special Care Nursery
• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Start Date: 09/20/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Rotating days/evenings/nights as needed; every other weekend rotation
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license or eligibility to work as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU or Special Care Nursery experience required
• 2 years of traveler experience preferred/required for this travel RN assignment
• 3 years of experience working in one location preferred/required
• Experience with newborn care, neonatal nursing, and special care nursery populations
• AHA BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced nursery environment
• EPIC experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to newborns in a Special Care Nursery setting
• Support care across labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, OR, and recovery areas as needed
• Monitor newborns and respond to changes in condition with timely clinical intervention
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
• Maintain a calm, family-centered approach while delivering high-quality neonatal care
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and newborn care best practices
