• Position: Travel Med/Surg RN (Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse)
• Setting: Acute Care Medical-Surgical Unit
• Location: Macomb, Illinois 61455
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/31/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Charting System: Cerner
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit Size: 16 beds

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in a rural hospital or acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical-surgical nursing environment with frequent admissions and discharges
• Team-oriented mindset and strong electronic health record charting skills

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, CHF, cellulitis, and post-surgical needs
• Monitor telemetry and interpret strips independently
• Collaborate closely with the charge nurse, clinical care coordinator, CNAs, and support staff
• Deliver safe, thorough documentation and maintain high standards of patient care
• Assist with outpatient infusions when needed
• Support a positive, flexible team environment focused on quality outcomes
