This travel Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity offers 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting where your clinical skills, critical thinking, and compassion make a meaningful difference every day. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Setting: Emergency Department / Emergency Room (ER)
- Location: Richmond, VA 23226
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage required
- Unit Size: 30 beds plus 14 Fast Track beds, with additional hallway beds as needed
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Experience with conscious sedation required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- CPI / de-escalation training required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Ability to pass an EKG exam during orientation
- Experience caring for patients across the lifespan in a high-acuity clinical setting
- Copy of nursing diploma required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced emergency care environment
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, triage patients, and prioritize care based on acuity
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and nursing practice
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary support staff to coordinate patient care
- Support patients and families through urgent and emergent health situations with strong communication and clinical judgment
- Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and participate in stabilization and resuscitation efforts
- Maintain a calm, professional presence in a high-stress emergency department setting
- Promote patient safety, quality care, and efficient patient flow throughout the Emergency Department
