Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Contract | Harrison Township, NJ

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,390-$1,460
• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room / Emergency Department
• Start Date: 9/14/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday
• Hours: 24 hours per week
• Shift: 2:45 PM - 3:15 AM

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• BSN required
• Travel experience required; at least one completed contract assignment required
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency room preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Completion of the Epic test out form from the documents tab is required as part of the application/onboarding process
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Pending certifications, or certifications that expire within 30 days of submission, are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a busy emergency room setting
• Assess, triage, prioritize, and respond quickly to urgent and emergent conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient flow and quality care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to department protocols
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment while using strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Participate in onboarding, orientation, and unit-specific training as needed
