Job Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior PACU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity post-anesthesia recovery environment

Responsibilities

• Recover post-operative adult patients in the PACU
• Monitor patient status and respond to changing clinical needs
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient recovery
• Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy post-op and surgical recovery setting
• Use excellent communication skills to support smooth patient flow
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a dynamic unit
• Support care delivery during rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and call coverage as needed
