Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
• At least 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Current New Jersey RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification
• TNCC required
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency care setting

Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions in the Emergency Room
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring in a high-acuity environment
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support timely treatment and interventions
• Respond effectively to trauma and critical care situations
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in accordance with clinical standards
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency in a busy emergency department
• Support safe transitions of care and patient/family communication throughout the emergency visit
