Experienced ER Registered Nurse needed for a contract nursing job in Trenton, NJ. Join a fast-paced acute care team providing ED Holds and MST Float Pool coverage in central New Jersey. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2020-$2130
• Location: Trenton, New Jersey
• Start Date: 9/22/2026
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Setting: ED Holds and MST Float Pool
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg Telemetry (MST) nursing experience required
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIH certification required
• Flu vaccination required
• Ability to float between campuses and assigned units as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in ED Holds and MST units
• Float between assigned campuses and units based on operational needs
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective patient care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical standards
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner electronic medical record system
• Support continuity of care while working in a dynamic float pool environment
