• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; first to float; up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200-$2,320
• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Size: 21 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Floating: May float to Med Surg; may float to ICU for PCU patient status only

Job Requirements

• PCU/telemetry experience required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Active BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
• Experience caring for post-cath lab patients preferred
• Comfortable with travel nursing, floating, and scheduled weekend rotations
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit / stepdown environment
• Monitor and assess patients with varying acuity levels and changing clinical needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe outcomes
• Care for post-cath lab patients as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC
• Adapt to assignment changes, including floating to designated units when required
• Support a patient-centered, team-oriented culture on the unit
