Job Details
- Setting: High-risk Level III NICU
- Location: Odessa, TX
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week; 48 hours/week also accepted
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040–$2,150
- Start Date: September 15, 2026
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Schedule Type: Self-scheduling
- Floating: May float to Pediatrics and Nursery
- Charting System: Cerner preferred

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience; 3 years preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience in a Level III NICU or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- BLS, NRP, and STABLE required; PALS preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work 36 or 48 hours per week as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neonates in a Level III NICU
- Support high-risk deliveries and advanced neonatal interventions
- Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory support and specialized therapies
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products per NICU protocols
- Assist with procedures such as central line care, blood draws, feedings, and therapeutic interventions
- Track patient status, document accurately in Cerner, and communicate changes promptly
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, social services, interpreters, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate and support families with developmentally appropriate, family-centered care
