• Setting: High-risk Level III NICU
• Location: Odessa, TX
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week; 48 hours/week also accepted
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040–$2,150
• Start Date: September 15, 2026
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Schedule Type: Self-scheduling
• Floating: May float to Pediatrics and Nursery
• Charting System: Cerner preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience; 3 years preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level III NICU or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE required; PALS preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Strong neonatal assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 36 or 48 hours per week as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neonates in a Level III NICU
• Support high-risk deliveries and advanced neonatal interventions
• Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory support and specialized therapies
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products per NICU protocols
• Assist with procedures such as central line care, blood draws, feedings, and therapeutic interventions
• Track patient status, document accurately in Cerner, and communicate changes promptly
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, social services, interpreters, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate and support families with developmentally appropriate, family-centered care
