Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of NICU or closely related neonatal experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Cerner experience preferred
- NRP and STABLE required
- BLS required
- PALS preferred
- Ability to work in a Level III NICU caring for neonates
- Experience with high-acuity neonatal care strongly preferred
- Willingness to float to Pediatrics and Nursery as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled neonatal nursing care for critically ill and high-risk infants
- Support newborns requiring advanced respiratory, developmental, and intensive care
- Monitor and manage IV therapy, central lines, and arterial/umbilical access devices
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization
- Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and nutritional support as ordered
- Operate and monitor neonatal equipment including ventilators, CPAP, HFNC, and phototherapy systems
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, social services, interpretation services, and unit support staff
- Document patient care accurately in the charting system and maintain safe, efficient workflows
- Educate and support families with compassion throughout their newborn’s care journey
