• Float Requirement: May float to other Med/Surg units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2+ years preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Comfort working in a fast-paced inpatient hospital setting
• Professional demeanor and strong teamwork skills
• Ability to successfully complete all required pre-start screenings

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and communicate updates to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to support patient recovery
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Adapt to floating assignments within the Med/Surg service line as needed
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach at all times
