Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Setting: Emergency Department / Emergency Room
• Location: Hickory, NC 28601
• Start Date: July 31, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 to 1:5

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience using Cerner required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the clinical care team

Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a wide range of conditions and acuity levels
• Respond quickly to changing patient needs and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Support stroke, STEMI, trauma, and other critical care situations as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Cerner
• Assist in other areas as needed within scope and competency
