Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• 1+ year of Emergency Department nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Level II or Level III trauma experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• TNCC required; ENPC, PALS, or ACLS also accepted based on experience
• CEN, TCRN, and CPI are preferred
• Strong compassion, urgency, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency room environment with multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients ranging from low to high acuity
• Complete assessments, documentation, and medication administration accurately and efficiently
• Perform wound care, splinting, IV starts, urine collection, and lab draws
• Support care for ESI levels 5 through 1
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and the rest of the ED team
• Participate in mandatory shift huddles at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM unless actively providing critical care
• Complete EMTALA training and follow unit policies and patient care guidelines
• Help deliver timely care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
