• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300 - $2,420
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Shift Start Times: 0645 or 0900
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
• Setting: Operating Room / Surgical Services
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• EHR: Cerner
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Call Requirements: One or two weekends every 6 weeks; one weeknight every other week; 30-minute response time
• Weekend Coverage: Call coverage in 12-hour blocks with 2 teams on call

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience in perioperative nursing and surgical care preferred
• Strong background in general surgery, urology, GYN, neuro, ortho, basic ENT, basic vascular, and robotics
• Preferred experience includes CV, C-section, trauma, and basic plastics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
• Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients; pediatric experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
• Prepare patients, equipment, and the surgical environment for procedures
• Assist surgeons and the perioperative team across multiple surgical specialties
• Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Cerner)
• Participate in scheduled call coverage, including weekends and weeknights
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to support efficient patient flow
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a calm, professional approach
