Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/16/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day and night rotation, 3x12-hour shifts
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent permanent experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, progressive care, or a closely related acute care specialty
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand
• At least one professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Must meet all required compliance and background screening standards prior to start
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required, with only approved medical or religious exemptions

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult cardiac stepdown patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, coordinate treatments, and follow established cardiac care protocols
• Assess, document, and communicate patient status clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
• Support recovery, mobility, and discharge preparation for patients transitioning from higher levels of care
• Maintain strong attention to detail in charting, compliance, and patient safety practices
• Collaborate with fellow nurses, physicians, and care team members to help ensure excellent patient outcomes
