• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float Requirement: May float to similar-acuity units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum, Mother/Baby, or couplet care experience required
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• IV certification and strong IV start skills
• Experience with labor & delivery preferred
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Telemetry interpretation required; ability to pass an EKG exam prior to start
• Experience from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, supervisor, or charge RN

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate postpartum nursing care to mothers, newborns, and couplets
• Support patients recovering from vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Care for postpartum readmissions, including wound infection and preeclampsia
• Monitor healthy newborns and NAS infants with attention to safety and comfort
• Perform newborn assessments, discharge teaching, and breastfeeding support
• Administer medications and IV therapy as indicated
• Complete routine postpartum interventions such as fundal checks, lochia assessment, perineal care, and Foley management
• Educate parents on infant care, circumcision care, thermoregulation, and feeding support
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality family-centered care
