  • Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Cardiac ICU Travel Nurse)
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
  • Shift Pattern: Day/night rotating schedule, every other weekend, every other holiday
  • Setting: High-Acuity Cardiac ICU / Critical Care
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Unit Size: 16 beds
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
  • Location: Boston, MA 02114

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of Level I ICU experience required
  • At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • Advanced heart failure management experience required
  • Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in a high-acuity critical care or cardiac intensive care environment
  • Ability to provide safe, timely patient care in a rotating shift schedule

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for complex cardiac ICU patients with multisystem failure
  • Monitor and manage patients supported by Impella, durable VAD, ECMO, and IABP devices
  • Care for fresh post-operative cardiac surgical patients in a fast-paced ICU setting
  • Assess patient status, recognize changes quickly, and implement appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary critical care team to support excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold critical care best practices
