ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with ventilator management and sedation management
• Ability to titrate medications safely and effectively in a critical care setting
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude
• Comfort with floating as needed with core staff and other travel nurses

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a 16-bed ICU
• Monitor and care for patients with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Manage ventilators, sedation, and medication titration in an intensive care unit
• Support procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
• Use Meditech documentation systems accurately and efficiently
• Follow patient experience standards including communication, medication teaching, and bedside updates
• Collaborate closely with the care team to maintain safe, effective ICU workflows
