- Position: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)
- Type: Travel Contract
- Location: Burlington, MA (Boston metro / Massachusetts nursing jobs)
- Start Date: September 7, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required
- Setting: Progressive Care / Nursing Float Pool
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent progressive care, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience required
- Epic experience required
- Ability to titrate pressors required
- BLS through AHA required
- ACLS through AHA required
- NIHSS preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required for nurses without prior travel nursing experience
- Must be comfortable with day-one testing and online preparation
- Must be eligible to work as a travel RN
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for progressive care patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Titrate pressors and manage complex clinical needs within scope of practice
- Float as needed to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
- Work within patient ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:5
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, efficient patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies and protocols
- Adapt to a fast-moving progressive care environment while delivering compassionate patient care
