Job Details

• Location: Middletown, Ohio
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/08/2026
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Schedule: Self-scheduling structure with flexibility based on unit needs
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 in critical care and 1:3 for intermediate-level patients
• Orientation: 48 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state RN license
• Associate degree in Nursing or BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Open-heart and cardiac critical care experience required
• Experience with CABG, valve post-op, Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA
• Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before start
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong skills in ventilator management, rhythm interpretation, IV starts, and conscious sedation
• Must be comfortable floating as needed and working every other holiday
• Flu vaccination required unless approved medical or religious exemption is provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Monitor and manage cardiac surgery and open-heart recovery patients
• Care for patients requiring CRRT, ventilators, balloon pumps, and chest tubes/drains
• Assess, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias and other changing clinical conditions
• Administer medications and support advanced ICU therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, patient-centered outcomes
• Float within the hospital or to nearby units as needed based on patient care demands
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a culture of strong customer service and teamwork
