• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840-$1,940
• Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and holidays as required
• EMR: Meditech
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units or hospitals as needed

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a Compact license
• No temporary licenses accepted
• Active NURSYS profile
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• 2 years of experience preferred; 18 months may be considered, with at least 1 year of recent specialty experience required
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a clinical, patient-facing acute care environment
• Must be comfortable floating as part of the role

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry overflow patients
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech
• Deliver patient-centered care while following unit protocols and best practices
• Adapt to floating assignments as needed across units or facilities
• Maintain professionalism and reliability with required weekend and holiday coverage
