• Duration: 8 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Participation in a weekend rotation
• Coverage Area: Harrison County, MS

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• At least 1 year of hospice nursing or home health care experience
• Strong understanding of hospice eligibility and patient-centered care planning
• Experience documenting patient status clearly and accurately in a clinical setting
• Ability to travel between patient visits throughout the assigned coverage area
• HomeCare Homebase experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the home hospice setting
• Manage patient care plans and support comfort-focused treatment goals
• Document observations and care details related to hospice eligibility and patient progress
• Prepare for and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and members of the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with nursing standards
• Travel to patient homes across the assigned service area in Biloxi and Harrison County
• Support weekend rotation coverage when scheduled
