- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,220 - $2,340
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Options: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend Rotation: Up to every other weekend as needed
- Holiday Rotation: Required
- Call: None
- Floating: As needed to Post-Partum and Antepartum
- Charting System: EPIC
- Medication System: Pyxis
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Arkansas or compact state license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Recent EPIC experience required
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred
- Level I trauma experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric and high-acuity patient care environment
- Must be comfortable floating to related women’s health units
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for high-risk OB, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn stabilization patients
- Circulate C-sections and support labor and delivery procedures
- Monitor and manage oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin infusions, and other medications per protocol
- Start IVs and draw labs for mothers and babies as needed
- Use fetal monitoring equipment and assist with maternal/fetal care interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Document accurately in EPIC and follow established unit workflows
- Support patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum transitions
- Float to Post-Partum and Antepartum units when needed
- Maintain a professional, compassionate approach while delivering high-quality care
