• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Assignment
• Setting: Operating Room, acute care hospital
• Location: Springfield, Illinois
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 4x10s, 08:45 - 19:15
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,450 - $2,580
• Charting System: Cerner
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month
• Call Requirement: 1 call shift per week
• Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Active Illinois RN license in hand or in the application process at time of submission
• BLS required
• CNOR preferred
• Level I trauma experience required
• General OR and trauma experience required
• Travel nurse experience required
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Ability to work with all service lines except cardiovascular surgery

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across a broad surgical caseload
• Circulate for a variety of complex procedures in general surgery, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, transplant, urology, and related specialties
• Support emergent and high-acuity cases in a fast-paced Operating Room environment
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, universal protocol, specimen handling, and patient safety standards
• Assist with code response, emergency preparedness, and specialty equipment setup as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure efficient case flow
• Adapt to occasional floating within skill set to meet facility needs
