Travel ICU RN opportunity in San Antonio’s Stone Oak area for an experienced critical care nurse seeking a 13-week assignment with 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours, and a collaborative high-acuity team environment.

• Weekend Requirement: Rotating schedule, including every other weekend
• Floating: As needed based on unit needs
• Documentation System: Meditech preferred experience

Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience in a critical care setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or equivalent NIH competency required
• Experience managing vasopressors in an ICU or intensive care environment
• Strong attendance, reliability, and professionalism required
• Ability to float as needed to support unit coverage
• Meditech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and titratable therapies, including vasopressors, per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record
• Support safe patient transfers and float to related units when assigned
• Follow infection prevention standards, hospital policies, and professional nursing practice guidelines
• Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented environment focused on high-quality patient care
