Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,250
• Location: Midlothian, Virginia 23114
• Work Setting: On-site, high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage may be required

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience strongly preferred, including antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration
• Ability to circulate cesarean sections; scrub/assist experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Fetal heart monitoring experience preferred
• Experience with Epic and Perinatal Centricity preferred
• C-EFM certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity women's health environment with a diverse patient population

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and related women's health settings
• Assess, monitor, and support mothers and newborns throughout the continuum of care
• Manage triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate effective patient care
• Monitor fetal heart patterns, perform vaginal assessments, and support the mother/fetal dyad
• Assist with cesarean sections and provide care during high-risk obstetrical situations
• Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, self-care, newborn care, and discharge planning
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient safety
• Document care accurately and support quality outcomes across the unit
