• Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Scheduling Expectations: Every other weekend and major holidays required

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure
• At least 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nurse experience required
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to pass an EKG exam at orientation
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, and tube feeds preferred
• Phlebotomy skills required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acute care telemetry patients
• Monitor patients with varying acuity and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital and clinical standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate seamless patient care
• Perform phlebotomy and other unit-based clinical skills as needed
• Educate patients and families while supporting comfort, safety, and recovery
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced travel nursing environment
