Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Strong couplet care and newborn assessment competencies
• Breastfeeding support and patient education experience
• Ability to work effectively on a night shift nursing team
• Compassionate, detail-focused, and team-oriented approach
• Experience with late-preterm or transitional newborns preferred
• Mother/Baby charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered care to postpartum mothers and newborns
• Monitor newborn screenings, blood glucose levels, and jaundice
• Support feeding education, breastfeeding guidance, and lactation support
• Assist with perineal care, incision care, and postpartum recovery support
• Deliver couplet care in a collaborative, team-based women’s health unit
• Maintain hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and strong patient safety practices
• Collaborate with OB, pediatric, and lactation team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to a fast-paced travel nurse assignment while contributing to a respectful and upbeat workplace culture
