Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of specialty nursing experience required
- Active RN license required; temporary licenses are not accepted
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and ability to perform in a high-acuity ER environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
- Assess, monitor, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary care team members to deliver safe, efficient care
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Support patient flow and maintain a calm, professional presence during high-volume periods
- Follow unit policies, attendance expectations, and clinical standards
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to unit dress code guidelines
