- Unit Setting: High-risk obstetrical labor and delivery
- Schedule Highlights: Night shift coverage with weekend rotation and floating as needed to antepartum
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience providing bedside care in a high-risk OB setting
- Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
- Experience circulating in C-sections
- Experience recovering high-acuity postpartum patients
- Comfort with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C procedures, and post-delivery recovery care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum support
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes in high-acuity obstetric situations
- Circulate during C-sections and assist with obstetric procedures
- Support patients undergoing vaginal delivery, C-section recovery, and post-delivery care
- Collaborate with physicians, OB nurses, and the care team to maintain efficient, patient-centered workflow
- Float to the antepartum unit as needed
- Follow clinical documentation, safety, and attendance expectations for the unit
