- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
- Call Requirement: No call

PICU Nurse Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse
- 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse preferred for stronger consideration
- Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients
- Experience managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate care as a Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse for critically ill children
- Monitor and manage ICU and step-down level patients with varying acuity
- Support patients with congenital heart disease, including pre- and post-operative care
- Assist with procedures such as central line and arterial line placement, conscious sedation, intubation/extubation, and post-op recovery
- Respond to emergencies, including codes, ECMO cannulation/decannulation, CRRT, and manual PD
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary pediatric care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Float as needed within pediatric care areas, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med surg, and pediatric oncology
