• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends

PICU Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse
• 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse preferred for stronger consideration
• Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients
• Experience managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care as a Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse for critically ill children
• Monitor and manage ICU and step-down level patients with varying acuity
• Support patients with congenital heart disease, including pre- and post-operative care
• Assist with procedures such as central line and arterial line placement, conscious sedation, intubation/extubation, and post-op recovery
• Respond to emergencies, including codes, ECMO cannulation/decannulation, CRRT, and manual PD
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary pediatric care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Float as needed within pediatric care areas, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med surg, and pediatric oncology
