- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460-$1,540
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse
- At least 1 year of pediatric CICU/CVICU experience preferred and highly valued
- Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative CHD management
- Experience managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a high-acuity pediatric critical care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for pediatric critical care patients
- Monitor and support ICU and step-down level patients with varying acuity needs
- Assist with procedures such as central line and arterial line placement, conscious sedation, intubation/extubation, and post-operative recovery
- Support advanced cardiac care needs including sternal closures, codes, ECMO cannulation/decannulation, CRRT, and manual PD
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
- Maintain meticulous charting and follow unit protocols in a dynamic pediatric hospital environment
