- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,540 - $2,670
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Shift Duration: 10 hours
- Schedule: Rotating 4x10-hour shifts
- Additional Scheduling Details: On-call responsibilities every 5-6 evenings and approximately every 6th or 7th weekend; flexibility required, including every other major holiday
- Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Services
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Active Massachusetts RN license in good standing
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Strong perioperative, surgical nursing, and patient safety skills
- Ability to work rotating 10-hour shifts and participate in on-call coverage
- Up-to-date resume, recent manager/supervisor references, and completed skills checklist
- EPIC experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Support patient preparation, intraoperative care, and post-procedure coordination
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to maintain efficient case flow
- Monitor patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition during surgical care
- Follow clinical protocols, safety standards, and documentation expectations in the operating room
- Remain flexible and responsive to changing case needs, rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and holiday scheduling
