ICU Registered Nurse travel job in Flagstaff, Arizona: join a fast-paced critical care team for a 13-week assignment in a Level I trauma and teaching environment. This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an experienced critical care RN who wants to care for adult and geriatric patients while enjoying the scenic beauty of Northern Arizona.

- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Floating: Required to ICU, PCU, MS/Tele, and Cardiac Monitoring areas based on census and patient needs
Job Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with cardiac drips is required
- Strong rhythm interpretation skills with the ability to read and interpret strips independently
- Comfortable floating to related nursing units without restrictions
- Ability to work 2 recognized holidays during the assignment
- Must be available for weekend coverage as needed
- Cerner experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with complex medical and surgical needs
- Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, neuro trauma, and general surgery conditions
- Assess, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias and changes in patient status promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, coordinated patient care
- Deliver evidence-based critical care nursing while following facility standards for patient safety and medication administration
- Adapt to floating assignments across critical care, step-down, telemetry, and monitoring units as needed
- Maintain accurate charting and communication throughout the shift
