Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience in PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or a similar acute care setting preferred
• Comfortable caring for orthopedic and neuro surgery patients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to PCU patients with orthopedic and neuro surgery diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Manage IVs, central lines, arterial lines, and other common progressive care nursing interventions
• Administer medications and support cardiac, insulin, and vasoactive drips per unit protocols
• Perform wound care, drain management, tracheostomy care, and other advanced bedside nursing tasks as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and support staff to coordinate care
• Float to other units within the organization based on patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and teamwork
